In a special crackdown on anti-social elements, Islamabad Police nabbed 13 persons including three foreigner ladies from different areas and recovered four pistols (30-bore), 51 bottles of liquor, 2.670 kg charas and 110 gram of heroin from their possession.
Islamabad Police, in its efforts for elimination of crime, nabbed 13 persons for their alleged involvement in possession of illegal arms, drug pushing, bootlegging and other offences, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police, here on Friday. Tarnol Police apprehended four persons including a woman during their patrolling to check drug trafficking, and recovered 2.670kg charas and two pistols (30-bore) along-with bullets from them.
The persons were identified as Bakht Zari, Zahir Shah, Adnan and Sajjad. Koral Police, during a routine search held accused Abdul Majeed and on his search, 50 bottles of liquor were recovered from him. Shehzad Town Police during its routine patrolling nabbed Ali Aamir Khan and recovered one pistol (30-bore) from his possession.
Similarly, Shalimar Police stopped a person Waqas Ahmed at a checkpoint and on his search, recovered one bottle of liquor from him. Shalimar Police also nabbed three foreigner ladies namely Sawera, Zargez and Darda hailing from Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, who failed to produce relevant documents for entering into Pakistan. Bhara Kahu Police arrested three persons identified as Zahir Akhtar, Mushtaq Ahmed and Muhammad Rashid for drug pushing and possessing illegal arms, and recovered one pistol (30-bore), 110gram heroin and 300 gram charas from them.
The spokesman said that investigation is underway against the detained persons. Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent Police Islamabad, Tahir Alam Khan has directed to continue efforts against outlaws and ensure safety of the citizens.
