Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar has stressed close co-ordination between law enforcement agencies and political administration to bring normalcy and keep situation peaceful and in order in tribal areas. This he stated while speaking during a presentation on law and order and security situation in FATA here at Governor's House on Thursday.
Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Dastagir Akhtar, Additional Chief Secretary FATA Fazal Karim Khattak, Secretary Law and Order FATA Tariq Hayat Khan, Secretary to Governor Sikander Qayyum besides the Commissioners of Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, D I Khan and Malakand and Political Agents of all the tribal Agencies attended the presentation.
The governor appreciated the political administrations for working in present environment and urged them to be proactive in their response to any act that may disturb the situation.
He was apprised of the steps taken for restoration of peace and maintenance of law and order besides the efforts to curb militancy and root out the anti-state and anti-social elements from the tribal areas. It was stated in the presentation that the people of FATA were united against the militants and cooperating the government. and administration in cleaning their areas from the unwanted and troublesome elements.
The Governor while responding to various points urged the Political officers to strive for peace in their respective areas, saying that restoration and maintenance of peace was top priority and the government would take the people along in this respect. The Governor directed that the tribal issues should be promptly resolved. He said that the government was determined to the speedy development in FATA that could only be possible when the atmosphere remain calm and peaceful.
