Bulletproof vehicle: Prime Minister's son records his statement at FIA Headquarters
Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday appeared before an investigation team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), probing multi-million Haj corruption scandal. Qadir Gilani, who is also a PPP MPA from Punjab, arrived at the FIA headquarters and recorded his statement on import of bullet-proof vehicle, FIA sources revealed.
They declined to give any specific detail of his statement, saying that Qadir Gilani was looking nervous during the questioning by the investigation agency. Later talking to media, Abdul Qadir Gilani said that he has not received any questionnaire from FIA and just appeared before its investigation team to record his statement as an ordinary citizen.
He said that he is a law-abiding citizen of Pakistan and his appearance before FIA proves rule of law in the country. "I will submit my written statement in detail to the FIA," he said. He said that he had purchased a bullet-proof vehicle with legitimate money. "I have bought the vehicle from my own hard earned and legitimate money 'Haq Halal ki Kamai' and allegations levelled by Imran Shah MPA against me are false," Qadir Gilani said. He said the tax he paid and the agriculture income would be enough to prove that I can buy two more vehicles of the same model. He said that he is ready to face any punishment if proved guilty in the case.
