DCO Naseem Sadiq expressed his displeasure over the slow completion of uplift schemes in education and health sectors and directed that the contractors those were delaying in completion of the development projects should be black listed and the cases for imposing penalties on them be submitted.
He was presiding over a meeting to review the pace of work of various development schemes. He fixed the targets to complete the development schemes by 15th March, which had been initiated during the last year, in case of any lapse the executing agencies would be held responsible.
The DCO said that the use of substandard material and poor construction should also be identified besides removal of all kinds of administrative and technical obstacles in completion of these schemes. He directed that the dismantle and unused building material and debris should also be removed from the completed schemes. The executing agencies are also directed to erect the informative boards of every uplift scheme comprising the details and specifications of the project for the awareness of general public. During the meeting the schemes of construction of class rooms, toilet blocks, boundary walls and other constructions in the different schools were reviewed and new targets for the executing agencies were fixed for undertaking the different uplift schemes. Among others, the meeting was attended by EDO Finance Syed Irshad Hussain, EDO Education Sohaib Imran, EDO Works Ahmad Tariq and DO Building Mahr Ramzan.
