The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), headed by Inspector General, National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP), Dr Wasim Kauser has promoted 37 Assistant Patrolling Officers to the rank of Patrolling Officers and 267 Junior Patrolling Officers to Assistant Patrolling Officers. A notification to this effect has been issued.
A special ceremony would be held at Police Lines, headquarters Lahore and Islamabad next week, wherein IG NH&MP and DIG, Syed Ibne Hussain would pin the stars of promotion. Expressing his views, Dr Kausar said that NH&MP have adopted a policy of merit for promotion of police officials. He was speaking at a high level meeting of the DPC.
