'120 suspects held in Quetta'

Quetta police in different raids conducted from January 1 onwards have arrested 120 suspects involved in heinous crimes of target killing, kidnapping for ransom, car lifting and others and recovered weapons, ammunition, drugs, snatched vehicles and cell phones from their possession.
DIG Operation Quetta Police Hamid Shakil disclosed this while addressing a press conference here on Sunday. SP Sadar Circle Dr Naveed Atif, DSP Fareed Bareech, Jameel Kakar, SHO Fazlur Rehman, Asif Ghaffoor, Ameer Muhammad Dasti and Haji Shabbir Ahmed were also present on occasion.
"Barori police arrested suspect Naimatllah and his accomplices involved in murder of Incharge National Trust of Population Welfare Hazara Town Clinic Dr Javaid Khan, a woman identified as Bakhtawar and a man Ghulam Rasool", the DIG Operation said adding that the same police party also apprehended three suspects, Fida Hussain, Baseer and Mehdi involved in murder of Habibullah.
He said that Airport Police arrested suspects Lal Khan, Abdul Hameed, Muhammad Siddiq and Muhammad Shah and recovered 25-kg hashish, 264 bottles of wine, one pistol and snatched vehicles.
He said that Quetta police nabbed cattle thieves identified as Yar Muhammad, Wazir Mohammad and Mohammad Akbar and recovered stolen cattle from their possession.
Quetta police traced out three gangs involved in target killing and abduction for ransom, eight gangs involved in car lifting and motorcycle snatching and arrested 84 suspects, the senior police official said adding that weapons, ammunition and stolen goods recovered from the possession of arrested suspects.
