GSK holds 'First Asian Congress on Dental Education'

The First Asian Congress on Dental Education and Research was held on Friday in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline to raise awareness about dental and oral hygiene in the country. GlaxoSmithKline in partnership with Oral Healthcare showcased its three leading brands - Sensodyne, Macleans and Aquafresh.
The event that attracted over 1,200 media and dental professionals from all over the country was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
The inaugural session of the initiative saw academicians, researchers and scholars from different fields of dentistry come together to promote dental education in Pakistan. The Dental Congress also showcases a Dental Trade Exhibition, which is one of the largest ever in the country. Moreover, to target the emerging youth talent and budding professionals in the field of dentistry, the Congress also has a Students' Forum, which includes debates and competitions which serve to raise awareness about issues pertaining to education and career prospects in the dental field.
GlaxoSmithkline held this first-ever dental congress in the country under the aegis of its brands Sensodyne - which is regarded as the expert in treating tooth sensitivity. By virtue of such events, Sensodyne aims to bring the science of dentistry at par with recent advances in global dental education and research.
