Chairman Board of Management FJMC / SGRH former Justice Mian Mehboob Ahmad on Saturday inaugurated the newly-constructed dermatology in-door unit in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH). This unit has been completed by the financial assistance of various philanthropists at cost of more than Rs 5 million.
The dermatology unit has 21 beds capacity including 8 in male, 11 in the female and 2 in ICU wards. Besides principal Professor Dr Rakhshanda, MS Dr Ijaz Sheikh and other faculty members attended the inaugural ceremony. While briefing the mediamen, Dr Ijaz Sheikh informed that at present more than 250 patients are visiting dermatology OPD daily and this unit is one of the busiest units of public sector hospitals. He said that this unit is offering specialised services including phototherapy, CRYO and CAUTREY and surgical skin procedures. Diagnostic facilities like skin biopsy and fungal scraping are also being provided free of cost.
