Published Updated

Mian Mohammad Ahmed, Patron-in-Chief/Founder President, Bin Qasim Association of Trade & Industry (BQATI) and Usman Ahmed, Founder Vice President has requested the Port Qasim Authority to discontinue conservancy charges, which is unnecessarily increasing cost of doing business.
In his letter addressed the Afsar Din Talpur, Director General (P&D), PQA, he said that they understand that the conservancy charges, which were decided unilaterally by PQA are meant for providing the sewerage and solid waste disposal system. However, both the systems remain inoperative for the last several years, therefore, the Association requested to discontinue conservancy charges, which is unnecessarily increasing our cost of doing business.
It is an admitted fact that sewerage line is not operative and PQA have asked the concern department to look into this very important area. Meanwhile, it is requested that till the time the sewerage and waste disposal system remain inoperative, PQA should remove charging the conservancy charges of 50 percent over and above the water bills.-PR
