The net profit after taxation of Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited has increased to Rs 1.908 billion in the year ended December 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 1.743 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2009. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 44.46 in the period under review against Rs 40.61 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Monday recommended a final cash dividend for the year at Rs 12.5 per share, ie 250 percent. This is in addition to interim dividend already paid at Rs 7.50 per share ie 150 percent.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's sales declined to Rs 14.936 billion in 2010 against Rs 15.764 billion in 2009. The cost of goods sold also decreased to Rs 11.987 billion against Rs 13.119 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 2.900 billion in 2010 against Rs 2.658 billion earned in 2009.
