To provide clean drinking water to local communities, government has completed two clean drinking water supply schemes in Qallangai and Bakhshi Kor villages of Tehsil Khawezai in Mohmand Agency. Fata Secretariat stated in a press release that in the Qallangai village, 146-meter deep tube well was excavated, while five surface tanks, six water points and a pump house were also constructed.
Similarly, 2,287-meter distribution pipeline was laid and a 50 KVA transformer installed to provide drinking water to the people of the village. Another drinking water scheme was completed in Bejarain (Bakshi Kor) village by excavating 122-meter deep tube well and constructing six surface tanks, water storage reservoir and a pump house. To provide drinking water to the villages, 1,433-meter distribution pipeline was laid while 25 KVA transformer and a submersible machine were installed. The water schemes will benefit almost 2,540 community members, minimising their sufferings.
