Police recover 'kidnapped' girls: girls say contracted court marriage
Shalimar Police recovered two girls who were allegedly kidnapped from G-10 sector of Islamabad on February 4. However, when they were produced before a magistrate, they presented 'Nikah namas' stating that they have contracted court marriage on their free will.
Muhammad Yousuf Khan of G-11/2 and Sultan Mehmood of G-9/2 Islamabad on February 4 reported in Shalimar Police Station that their daughters namely Fatima Kanwal and Iqra Sultan, both students of G-10/4 Girls College are missing. Shalimar Police registered as case No 78/2011 under section 365/34 regarding the kidnapping of Iqra Sultan and Fatima Kanwal, sources said, adding that ASP Faisal Bashir Memon constituted special team, which succeeded in recovering these girls and further investigation into the case is underway.
The parents of two girls nominated Usman and Haris in the case for kidnapping of the two girls, investigation officer of the case said, adding that after investigation they were found innocent and police recovered them from a house in G-10/4. He said that the two girls have shown their marriage deeds and stated before Magistrate Khalid Yameen Satti that they had married with Waqas and Faridul Hassan. After recording the statement of the two girls they were sent to Darul Aman, Raza said.
