A locally made hand grenade was recovered in the limits of Sohrab Goth police station on Monday. According to police, the information was received at around 12:30 pm that the hand grenade was placed in the empty shop located at Bismillah Market of new vegetables emporium.
Reacting on the said information, the police rushed to the spot and recovered a locally made hand grenade from the place. When contacted, SP Iftikhar Lodhi said that the police had recovered abandoned hand grenade from the empty shop of Bismillah Market. He dispelled the impression of terrorism, saying that the place, where the bomb was present, was not only far from the main market but also used as defecation area. Meanwhile, the officials of Bomb Disposal Squad said that it was abandoned hand grenade, which was placed to create panic in the market.
