Pakistan cricket team coach Waqar Younis has posed confidence on the potential of Pakistan cricket team to win a mega event of World Cup 2011, starting from February 19 in South Asia. "The team morale is high and I am confident to play semi-final of upcoming cricket World Cup," said the cricket legend.
The team is fully capable to win the World Cup mega event, he said, adding: "Boys worked hard and I am hopeful that our team will definitely play semi-final of 10th ICC World Cup, starting in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka," Younus said while talking to reporters' alongwith skipper Shahid Afridi and Manager Intikhab Alam here on Thursday.
Waqar Younus said that Pakistan cricket team is united and positive results are expected from the team. To a query, he said: "Our bowling and batting is ok and in the World Cup, we would focus on fielding".
To another query, he said that victory depends on good performance instead of winning or loosing the toss. Answering another question, Waqar said some mistakes were committed during recent tour of New Zealand but all the decisions were taken with good intention.
Intikhab Alam said that boys extended full support to team management during recent tour of New Zealand. In the mega event, boys would have to focus on the game only, he said. Prior to World Cup matches, Pakistan will play two warm up matches against Bangladesh and England on February 15 and 18, respectively at Mirpur (Bangladesh).
