President British-Pakistani Lawyers Forum, Naseem Ahmed Bajwa, a UK-based advocate, and Grame D Karik solicitor, have appreciated the legal community in Pakistan for rendering sacrifices for the independence of judiciary. Addressing Lahore High Court Bar Association here on Thursday, they said legal fraternity round the globe has expressed pleasure over the restoration of Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
They said rule of law and 'due process', are both fragile flavours which require constant nurturing. Even in a country like UK with strong democratic traditions, governments are always searching for ways to impose their will without giving people thought to fundamental principles.
