Four killed in series of clashes

At least four persons were injured in a chain of clashes in the city, here on Thursday. According to police sources, the series of clashes, which erupted between Pakhtoon Student Federation (PSF) and Jamiat Tuliba Islam (JTI), started at Government Gulshan Degree College (GDC) at noon and later extended to the Federal Urdu Science University.
The clash at GCD started when the activists of both student organisations exchanged hot words, which led to resort aerial firing, baton, charged and pelted stone. The police said the activities of both organisations, who escaped from GCD soon after police reached on the spot, scuffled again at the Federal Urdu University where the incidents of aerial firing, baton charged and pelted stone were witnessed again at nearby pedestrian bridge, which left Iftikhar ul Islam son of Abdul Islam injured, who later rushed to private hospital for treatment. When contacted Station officer of Aziz Bhatti Police Station said no case was registered as any of the activist filed any complain against anyone.
