Comprehensive programme chalked out for Eid Milad

A comprehensive programme has been chalked out for celebrations of Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (SAWW). There will be "Public Holiday" on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal throughout the province.
Salient features of the proposed programmes to be followed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be as under: Seerat conferences at the provincial/divisional and district headquarters to be inaugurated by the governors, the ministers or eminent Ulema and Mashaikh respectively will also be held, Provincial and District Seerat Committees will also be constituted, which will arrange the Seerat Majalis.
Seerat functions will be held in the educational institutions and in public halls. Thirty one guns salute in the Federal Capital and 21 guns salute at the Provincial Headquarters will be fired at the dawn of the day on the same day. Special Seerat banners and Illumination of public buildings throughout the province will be arranged with due regard to government policy on austerity drive.
Distribution of sweets in all schools, colleges, orphanages, widow and destitute homes, disabled and handicapped persons homes and for prisoners will be arranged by the respective organisations on 12th Rabiul Awwal. The cinema houses and TV centres etc will show films and dramas on moral building themes etc instead of screening usual movies on 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awal.
