Published Updated

After the dismissal of six pilots including Palpa president Sohail Baloch and general secretary, T M Rabbani, the joint action committee threatened to cancel all the flights, a private TV channel reported Monday. According to the channel, several local and foreign flights were cancelled after protest of the employees as management failed to meet the deadline given by the JAC for cancellation of agreement with Turkish Airline.
Earlier, PIA JAC had threatened to block the system if the agreement with Turkish Airline not revoked. After this warning, 30 pilots reported sick on Monday night. Due to their immediate leave, several local and foreign flights were disrupted. The PIA committee staged protest at Karachi Airport, the channel added.
