10th 'Political Agent Conference' was held here at Governor's House on Friday under the chairmanship of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Owais Ahmed Ghani. The conference thoroughly deliberated different matters relating to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with particular focus on law and order situation and development activities.
The political agents presented detailed reports regarding overall situation and development projects in their respective tribal agencies for the wellbeing of the populace. Addressing the conference, Owais Ahmed Ghani said that the situation in Fata is now far better than previous years and would further improve with the passage of time. He, however, stressed the need for continuous efforts and appreciated the performance and endeavours of political administrators in this regard.
He laid stress on a focused approach towards the progress and prosperity of tribal people and said that the development process must be accelerated to benefit them. He reiterated that government would maintain peace and ensure uplift of Fata in all spheres and make required resources available for the purpose.
