Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza has said that by the end of its 5-year term the government of PPP would complete a record number of development projects for the welfare of people. She was speaking as a chief guest at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Rs 150 million Safari Park project in Bhorki Forest, 50 kilometres from Badin District, on Sunday.
Sindh Minister for Home and Forest Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, MPAs Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro and Mir Muhammad Hassan alias Mir Babu and Secretary Forests Mushtaq Ahmed Memon also spoke on the occasion.
The Speaker said despite a multitude of challenges which the government of PPP was faced with, development schemes for the people of the country were being vigorously pursued. She dispelled the impression being aired about mid-term elections and said that the government would not only complete its present term but would also win a new term from the "people's court."
