All-round gains were seen on the money market on Saturday as the rupee managed to gain versus dollar and euro, dealers said. The rupee was higher by five paisa against dollar for buying at 85.65 and gained three paisa for selling at 85.70, they said.

According to the moneychangers, the dollar commenced trading at overnight closing of Rs 86.00 and Rs 86.20, as its buying and selling rates, respectively. In the absence of buying support, the dollar could not sustain and declined to Rs 85.80 and Rs 86.10 on buying and selling counters, respectively, they said.
Likewise, the Pak rupee opened on a positive sign and appreciated its worth against the pound sterling. The pound sterling was traded at Rs 135.50 and Rs 136.50, as its buying and selling rates, as compared to last closing of Rs 136.50 and Rs 137.50, respectively, they added.
The dollar opened at Rs 85.90 (buying) and Rs 86.10 (selling) against the last rate. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 85.90 (buying) and Rs 86.10 (selling).
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 136.30 (buying) and Rs 136.70 (selling) against the previous rate. It did not witness any change in the evening session and closed at Rs 136.30 (buying) and Rs 136.70 (selling).
