The Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Kharian Cantonment on Wednesday, said a press release. The CoAS addressed the officers of Kharian Garrison and talked about the ongoing military operations to restore normalcy in terrorism affected areas of the country.
He appreciated performance of troops and emphasised the need for maintaining operational readiness at all times. CoAS later interacted informally with the troops and appreciated their professionalism and morale. Earlier on arrival, CoAS was received by the Corps Commander Lieutenant General Tariq Khan.
