A six-member parliamentary delegation of Common Wealth Parliamentary Association (UK Branch) led by Roger Gale MP, House of Commons, UK met Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal here on Wednesday at assembly chambers. Senior parliamentarians were present on the occasion.
Speaker Punjab Assembly informed the delegation of legislation process of the assembly in the meeting. He also informed them of the history of the assembly in their visit. The Speaker informed the delegation of democratic developments in the country in their meeting.
The Leader of the delegation Roger Gale appreciated the role of the government as well as people of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. He appreciated government steps towards strengthening democracy in the Pakistan. The Speaker also hosted a lunch in honour of the distinguished guests.
