Funeral prayers of martyred cops offered

The funeral prayers of policemen, who were killed in Tuesday's bomb blast, was held on Wednesday at Police Headquarters, Garden. IG Sindh police Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak met the families of PC Kamran Qureshi, PC Imran and PC Mushtaq, who were killed in a bomb blast occurred on Tuesday evening.
Khattak, while expressing his deepest sympathies with the families, said the Sindh Police would remember the bravery and patriotism as the policemen achieved martyrdom in the line of duty and set an example for others. Later, talking to media, he said the families of the Shaheed policemen would be compensated by Rs 2 million each while the injured ASI Manzoor would be promoted to next grade. He further said the Home Department has also announced Rs 0.1 million each for Shaheed policemen.
He said that it is premature to reach any conclusion at this stage of investigation as the evidences were being collected. The funeral prayer was also attended by CCPO Karachi; DIG South, DIG East, Commandant Razaqabad Training Centre, SP Saddar, the family members of Shaheed cops and a large number of people hailing from law enforcement agencies.
Similarly, the funeral prayer of Hafiz Kashif, who was also killed in Malir Saudabad blast, was held in Shah Latif Town and he was buried in a local graveyard of the same area. The victim Kashif, who was the father of four children, was an employee of private airline.
