Sohail Lashari, Nadar Kamal Osman and Junaid Iqbal Sheikh have been elected unopposed as chairman and vice chairmen, respectively, of Pakistan Industrial & Traders Association Front (PIAF). The election process commenced on January 12th with the dispatch of nomination papers and completed on January 24th with the election of PIAF new office-bearers.
PIAF newly elected Chairman Sohail Lashari is the former Senior Vice President of the LCCI and currently serving as the Advisor of Governor Gilgit-Baltistan on Tourism. He had been leading a number of trade delegations around the globe.
After the election, Lashari said that corruption, injustice, most high rate mark-up, inflation, electricity and gas shortages were the biggest issues of the industry and he would not only raise the voice to get these issues resolved but also appeal to the political leadership of the country to play its role for the progress and prosperity of the country.
