Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that terrorism, narrow-mindedness and extremism have badly affected the peace and economic stability of the country. He was addressing the concluding session of two-day Majlis-e-Shoora of Tehreek-Minhaj-ul-Quran here through radio conferencing from Canada on Sunday, says a press release.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Tehreek-Minhaj-ul-Quran was opposing negative behaviours as it was fighting such behaviours all over the world. He further said that far sightedness, modernisation, tolerance and service for humanity are basic principles of Islam.
Terrorism cannot be controlled without promoting these principles in the society, he added. He stressed for creating awareness against corrupt and oppressive system, which he observed, has failed to deliver the goods.
He criticized the adoption of negative values of West blindly in the country.
