A petition challenging the establishment of Liberty Park and Ride Shopping Plaza, Liberty Market, has been filed in Lahore High Court(LHC).
The petition is moved by seven petitioners including Muhammad Azhar Sidduque Advocate, shop owners Mohammad Saleem Hafeez, Mian Mohammad Haroon of m/s Hotel MelRose Inn, Arshad Kareem Qureshi of M/S Toy Land, M. Zakariya Basheer Malik, Arif Mehmood of M/S Liberty Gift Centre, Syed Dilawar Shah of M/s Alnafay Shopping Mall situated at commercial zone, Liberty Market. The petitioners submitted that the land was an open space owned by the PHA, which was illegal transferred to LDA for construction of this plaza which was badly affecting the petitioners.
