Students from various Afghan universities visit UET

A 25-member delegation from different universities of Afghanistan along with Higher Education Commission (HEC) representatives visited UET Lahore on Saturday. The main purpose of the visit to UET, Lahore was to map out the possible co-operation in the field of research as well as exchange of faculty and staff.
The Chairman Chemical Engineering Department delivered a presentation on UET and highlighted the progress of the university at Conference Room of National Library of Engineering Sciences. He said that in a recent survey conducted by Times World Ranking of universities 2010, UET Lahore has been ranked at 281 among the top technical universities in the world and top 100 in Asian Engineering Universities. It is worth mentioning that UET, Lahore has maintained its position in Time World Ranking of universities for the last three years. Senior Deans, Director External Linkages and Registrar attended the briefing.
After briefing the delegation visited various departments of the university and appreciated the achievements of the UET. The vice chancellor said the university would cooperate with the Afghan universities in the field of research, projects and publication.
