Abpara Police on Saturday arrested gang of three impostors involved in deceiving unemployed people by issuing them fake appointment letters for jobs.
According to details, a special team comprising DSP City Ahmed Iqbal and SHO Abpara Khalid Awan took action and arrested three accused named Iftikhar, resident of Jhelum, Chaudhry Nasir and Kifayatullah, resident of Miran Shah and also recovered two laptops, fake stamps, three cell phones, mobile phone jammers, Rs 15,37,000 cash and a 44 bore gun.
Earlier, Abpara Police Station received complains that a gang of impostors was taking money from unemployed youth in return for issuing them fake appointment letters for government jobs. However, the victims came to know that the appointment letters were not genuine. The same gang has also issued fake appointment order of an assistant sub-inspector police.
SP City Haroon Joya constituted a special team headed by DSP Ahmed Iqbal to apprehend the gang. According to initial investigation the gang has looted millions of rupees while issuing fake appointment letters to unemployed people.
Meanwhile, a group of lawyers locked up and thrashed an office Assistant of Executive District Officer (EDO-Finance) at premises of Rawalpindi court for not allowing them to park their cars outside a public office. Javed who works as office assistant with EDO-Finance Saqib Mannan raised the ire of lawyers when he told them that they are not allowed to park their cars outside his boss's office.
As a result the lawyers dragged him to a nearby chamber at the courts, held him for long and beat him. According to eye witnesses, the lawyers released the office assistant on the intervention of MPA Shabbir Malik and another lawyer Amir Nagyal as the efforts of EDO-Finance Saqib Mannan remained futile in getting him released.
