MQM submits adjournment motion

Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) has submitted an adjournment motion in the Upper House against the sacking of over 4,000 workers by Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC). Senator Colonel Tahir Hussain Mashhadi (Retd) submitted the bill, which has termed the KESC step a heartless act and demanded an immediate explanation from the ministry of Water and Power on the said issue.
MQM leaders also called for steps, which could reduce the sufferings of working class. Another bill was also tabled, demanding amendment in the Constitution. The bill demands that agricultural revenue must be brought into the tax net.
