Parliamentarians of different political parties commenting on the launching of second phase of the Parliament Lodges here on Friday said this initiative will reduce their accommodation problems. At present the Parliament Lodges do not have the capacity to accommodate all representatives due to this the MNAs have no option but to reside in private houses.
Several MNAs were of the view that the initiative will cater to the accommodation problem. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q like minded) MNA Kashmala Tariq said the second phase is one a good decision as several MPs are facing different problems due to scarcity of lodges. She said at present a hundred parliamentarians are residing in private houses due to shortage of accommodation in Parliament Lodges. Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi said that accommodation is a serious problem for the Parliament Members.
