Unlawful outfits of the students will not be allowed to sabotage the peaceful and congenial academic atmosphere of the Punjab University, said Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran here on Friday. Talking to APP, he criticised the misconduct of handful group of the students belonging to banned outfit for forcibly holding unlawful assembly in new campus.
"Punjab University is a prestigious educational institute of the sub continent exclusively pursuing quality education in public sector and nobody irrespective of their political affiliation can be allowed to play with the future of the generation engaged academic venture in the varsity", he added.
He said that desirous bonafide students are always encouraged for participation in the healthy extra curricular activities which includes all types of indoors and outdoors sports across the country. He said maintenance of discipline in all ranks of teachers, students and employees is the responsibility of the varsity administration which will be ensured.
The VC said, to seek permission or approval of the competent authority for holding any kind of workshop, seminar and meeting/assembly is mandatory on the part of students or organisers otherwise it will amount of misconduct which can never be tolerated. Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran further stated that "he always treat students as his own children and extend all possible co-operation for higher studies".
