The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested an alleged member of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to CID officials, an alleged TTP member, who was identified as Chaman Gulzar, was arrested with pistol in a raid at Kapra market, Kharadar on Wednesday.
They said that Gulzar was not only nominated in number of cases by local police but also placed in the most wanted list of Bajaur Agency. They said that he confessed his involvement in several terrorist activities in the Bajaur Agency. He also informed to the investigation team that he escaped from Bajaur Agency during army operation and hiding at Janjal Goth located in Sohrab Goth.
They further said he had also admitted that he was working under the supervision of commander Shina in Bajaur Agency and working as labour in Karachi. They said the case was registered against him and the authorities in the Bajaur Agency were also informed in this regard.
