Provincial president Jamhoorhi Watan Party (JWP) Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti who had been detained in keeping illegal weapons case was released on bail along with his 26 security guards on Tuesday.
A single bench of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) Justice Noor Muhammad Miskanzai had approved bail application of Bugti and his accomplices. The security forces and Quetta Police had arrested the JWP leader and his 26 security guards at Balili checkpoint Quetta on December 21 for allegedly keeping illegal weapons and ammunition.
His counsel Wishershar Nath Kohli had filed bail application of Bugti to the Balochistan High Court after rejection by the District and Session Court Quetta.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shahzain Bugti was admitted to Civil Hospital Quetta on the directives of the BHC after doctors examined that he was suffering from stomach related disease, however, his associates were kept in Huda jail Quetta. A number of activists of JWP accorded warm welcome to Shahzain Bugti.
