Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, a senior civil officer of Grade 20 from District Management Group (DMG) has assumed the charge as new Chief Executive Officer of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA). Earlier he was serving as Principal Staff Officer to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, before his appointment in SMEDA. He possesses rich and varied experience accumulated over a period of twenty-four years as a pubic servant.
He has served in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh before joining the Federal Government. In the province of Punjab, he has served in the positions of Secretary, Additional Secretary and Deputy Secretary in various important departments besides working as Principal Secretary and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab. Whereas, in the province of Sindh, he served as Deputy Secretary, Labour Department and Deputy Secretary (Development), Finance Department. As far as field assignments are concerned, he has served as Assistant Commissioner in Sukkur and as Deputy Commissioner in Sargodha and Khoshab.-PR
