The Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) former Justice Syed Deedar Husain Shah has directed the builders to complete their housing schemes projects within time frame and neither to cross their project specification nor to annoy allottees by delaying tactics failing which they would be prosecuted according to law.
This he observed while addressing the ceremony arranged by NAB Sindh chapter for handing over Physical Possession of Plots to the affected allottees of Gulshan-e-Hassan Housing Scheme and payments to affected people of Lal Shahbaz Housing Scheme at Circuit House Hyderabad on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony the Chairman NAB, Syed Deedar Hussain Shah, said that it is the matter of pleasure that today the NAB by resolving the old scandal of housing scheme, is providing physical possession of plots and payment to the affected allottees which was their right.
He directed the builders to complete their housing scheme and projects within in time frame as people were facing great difficulties when projects were not completed within stipulated period and they (allotees) run pillar to post to get their right. He made it clear that no builder would be allowed to play with the income and investment of the people and added that in case any builder found defaulter in this regard, the law of NAB would come into force with immediate effect and then they (defaulters) may face the difficulties. He said that those allottees who had booked their flats/houses in the housing scheme projects, must be handed over their flats/houses within time frame failing which builder of the concerned scheme would be held responsible and taken to task.
Lauding the professional efforts and expertise of NAB Sindh chapter, the chairman NAB said that it was because of good performance of NAB Sindh chapter, that today the affectees of housing schemes were getting allotment orders of their plots and looted money as well. He hoped that NAB Officers to continue their work in the same sprit for providing justice to the affected peoples in other cases as well.
Latter on talking with Journalists, the Chairman NAB, Justice Syed Deedar Hussain Shah said that whatsoever the scandal to be, it would be prosecuted according to the law without any discrimination. He said that the scandal of Gulshan-e-Hassan and Lal Shahbaz Schemes were oldest but the NAB Sindh got these investigated and resolved within shortest possible time and provided justice to the affectees.
Regarding another question the Chairman NAB said that NAB is investigating and inquiring many cases without any discrimination and each month challans of corruption cases were being submitted in the courts of law. He said that till now, 815 demand draft has been distributed and today 180 demand drafts/cheques are being distributed among affectees. Director General NAB Sindh Ali Nawaz Pirzada also spoke on this occasion and said that his organisation would not compromise while delivering justice to the people. Earlier Chairman NAB former Justice Syed Deedar Hussain Shah handed over the possession documents of plots and cheques to the affectees of both schemes. On this occasion Chairman NAB also presented shield to the NAB Officers and DG HDA and DG SDA for their best performance.
The DG HDA and DG SDA also presented a memorial shield to the chairman NAB to recognise his efforts which he taken in providing justice to the affectees of housing schemes scandal. RPO Hyderabad, Mushtaq Shah, DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri, the regional heads of all provincial and federal government departments and elite citizens attended the Ceremony.
