Total open interest at the futures counter increased by 18 percent, to Rs 1.63 billion, during the week ended on January 15, 2011. The futures spreads also increased by 586bps to 8.75 percent. Trading at futures counter improved and average daily volume increased by 12.6 percent to 7.7 million shares.
