Students of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) bagged top positions at Allama Iqbal Shield declamation contest organised by Higher Education Commission. An announcement of the institution, here on Sunday, said that the event was organised to raise awareness about the benefits of education.
In the first spell of English competition held at Sir SSUET, Fatima Saima Ahmed, Umar Ali and Muhammad Umar Khan secured top three positions respectively while Muhammad Umar Khan, Muhammad Athar Hassan and Aariz Mahmood clinched first, second and third positions.
The second spell of the debate was held at NED University in which teams from all over Sindh participated. Here, Muhammad Umar Khan of SSUET won second position along with cash prize of rupees 5,000.
