Provincial Minister for Population Welfare, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry has paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and said she initiated lady health workers programme for the provision of basic health facilities to the mother & child in rural areas.
She said that the MMR in LHWs covered area is 147/100,000 live births, compared 300 to 350/100,000 to uncovered areas and the LHWs, LHVs and the community midwives were being appointed at all the health centres in remote areas.
