Business community urged to explore Argentina market

Pak Ambassador to Argentina Ms Naela Chohan has said that all channels and modes were being mobilised for the promotion of trade ties between Pakistan and Argentina. In an interview with Business Recorder here on Monday afternoon at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) she stressed the need of exploring Argentina market and Pakistani business community should take initiatives in this regards.
In order to create awareness among the people and introduction of Pakistani products in Argentina a single country trade exhibition and trade seminar was being arranged she revealed. She said that trade exhibition and trade seminar would be helpful in creating awareness about the products being manufactured in Pakistan adding that it would also provide opportunities of direct interaction with Argentina business tycoons to the Pakistani exporters. Naela stressed upon the male and female exporters of Sialkot to visit Argentina and determine the possibilities of the demands of Pakistani products in Argentina market.
The basic concept of arranging single country trade exhibition and trade seminar in Argentina was to ensure the facility of face-to-face dialogue to Pakistani exporters with their counterparts she said. The Ambassador further said that direct interaction will help in enlarging the scope of bilateral trade ties between the countries. An action plan has been formulated for boosting up exports and under the plan special attention was being accorded on food festival to showcase our basmati rice and spices she disclosed.
Naela revealed that there was a great potential of surgical instruments, sports goods, basmati rice and spices in Argentina market and keeping in the potentiality business community of Sialkot should concentrate on explore the Argentina market. Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) should constitute a delegation of male and female exporters for visiting Argentina she added. The Ambassador said that adequate facilities would be extended to Pakistani businesswomen and male exporters for accelerating the export activities aimed at enhancing the trade volume between the two countries.
