A delegation led by Country Head of World Health Organisation (WHO) in Pakistan, Dr Guido Sabatinelli met Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here Monday. Talking to the delegation, the chief minister appreciated the help and assistance extended by WHO for flood affectees.
He said that Punjab government has taken all possible measures to provide medical facilities to the calamity-stricken people, adding that secretary health has played a commendable role in this regard. He further said that solid measures are being taken for providing modern healthcare to the people of backward and remote areas at their doorstep, saying mobile health units equipped with latest facilities were imported for this purpose. Shahbaz said revolutionary measures taken by the government are resulting in the availability of modern health facilities to the people of far-flung areas.
