The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan would like to clarify that the SECP chairman had worked for a brokerage house. While responding to a question asked by the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, the SECP chairman had stated that he had worked and managed a brokerage house in the past. He also stated that he had extensive administrative and management experience, but this would be his first experience as a regulator, SECP added.
