President Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Shahid Naseem Khokhar in a press statement welcomed the decision of reducing the charges of Certificate of Origin to Rs 100 from Rs 1000 by TDAP. He said that TDAP had announced to increase the fees from Rs 25 to Rs 1000. The MCCI and trade bodies took up the matter strongly with the respective authorities.
It was proposed that the said fee should be adjusted through Export Development Fund rather than charging the exporters. He thanked the chairman TDAP for settling the issue amicably by reducing the charges of Certificate of Origin from Rs 1000 to Rs 100 and hoped that the decision would help building more trusted relations between business community and TDAP in future.
