Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan has said the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will respond to a deadline given by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after January 10. Talking to media after Mehfil-e-Milad at the residence of Dr Tanvirul Islam, Punjab Minister for Sports and Culture here on Friday, he said that deadlines were not given in politics.
He questioned PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif that why Fazal-ur-Rehman Niazi, President PML-N Lawyers Wing Islamabad, had presented flowers to the assassin of Salmaan Taseer? "Is it the party policy of the PML-N?" he asked. He hoped it was not the policy of Nawaz Sharif. He said that nothing could happen in the PML-N in Pothohar without the permission of "Pothohar Walay". Later, the minister enquired after the son of Shaukat Mahmood Basra, PPP parliamentary secretary, at Children's Hospital and prayed for his early recovery.
