'PPP workers sacrifice their lives for strengthening of democracy'

Punjab Minister for Population Welfare, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry, has said that leaders and workers of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) sacrificed their lives for strengthening of democracy, rule of law, supremacy of constitution and Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto struggled for the rights of deprived segment of the society.
While talking to female party workers, Neelam said that sacrifice of Shaheed Governor Salman Taseer will give courage to the party workers and they will continue their struggle for the rights of oppressed people.
She said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave new dimension to public thinking. She said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave the unanimous constitution of 1973 for the supremacy of the parliament and started the atomic programme. Similarly, Benazir Bhutto gave the missile technology for national defines. She said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto not only got 90 thousand prisoners released from India but also 6000 sq miles of the Pakistan Territory from Indian occupation.
She said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto started revolutionarily programmes for the welfare as well as social and economic betterment of poor people and labourers. She said Quaid-e-Awam established Islamabad University (now Quaid-e-Azam University), People's Open University (Now Allama Iqbal Open University), Gomal University, National Book Foundation and the significance of these institutions are internationally acclaimed.
Neelam Jabbar said that martyrdom of Quaid-e-Awam, Benazir Bhutto, party workers and recently Shaheed Governor are the tragic chapter of our national history. However, Pakistan Peoples Party will materialise the dreams of its martyr's leaders at any cost.
