Police on Friday arrested two suspected dacoits after a brief encounter in the jurisdiction of PS Gulistan-e-Jauhar. According to police and eyewitnesses, police intercepted a motorbike bearing registration no KDU 7141 during snap checking at Kamran Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar but the alleged motorcyclists started firing on police party.
The police party then got engaged in an encounter with them, which injured one of the suspects Talib Hussain s/o Shaban, who was later shifted to hospital for medial treatment. Police claimed that they had arrested Talib Hussain along with his accomplice Haider Abbas s/o Rajab Ali and recovered 2 TT pistols from their possession. No case was registered till filing of this report.
