US corn, soyabean and wheat fell on Thursday as the dollar rallied amid growing economic optimism and as US grain exports slipped last week, with buyers discouraged by prices near 2008 highs Soybean export sales totalled 489,300 tonnes for 2010/11 shipment and 63,400 tonnes for 2011/12, with the bulk of purchases made by China, the world's top soybean importer.
CBOT March soyabeans down 12 cents at $13.81-3/4 per bushel. March down 9 cents at $7.99-1/4 per bushel. USDA said export sales of U.S. wheat last week totalled 464,700 tonnes, above estimates for 350,000 to 450,000 tonnes.
CBOT March soyoil down 0.16 cent at 57.09 cents per lb. The CBOT March board crush down 0.58 cents at 62.77 cents per bushel.
CBOT March soymeal down $4.50 at $368.50 per ton as of 12:08 pm CST (1808 GMT).
Soymeal spot basis offers for delivery by truck were weaker, while rail offers held steady around the United States on Thursday amid soft demand and lower CBOT futures values, dealers said.
The soymeal cash prices ranged around $349 to $374 per ton.
Soymeal export sales totalled 24,500 tonnes for 2010/11 shipment and 4,500 for 2011/12.
