Mexico peso hits six-week high

Mexico's peso jumped to a six-week high on Monday after a solid US manufacturing survey fed hopes that Mexico's export dependent factories will post strong growth in the new year. The peso gained 1.04 percent to 12.2380 per dollar, its strongest since November 22. The currency was on track to notch its biggest one-day percentage gain since October 20.
