The President House has moved All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma)'s annual dinner at Aiwan-e-Sadr from 6th January 2011 to the last week of January. Aptma spokesman said the annual dinner at the President's House would now take place in the last week of January.
The president had desired to host the annual dinner of Aptma wherein leading businessmen from across the country besides federal ministers, senior bureaucrats and diplomats were to be invited. It is for the first time in the history of any trade body that annual get-together is being organised at the presidency.
Aptma spokesman said the presidency has already instructed the government to take the association's leadership on board for consultation and associate it with policy formulation and decision making process. It is worth noting that chairman Aptma, Gohar Ejaz called on the president on 8th December 2010 and apprised him of the issues hindering growth of textile industry.
