Capital police bust dacoit's gang: two alleged criminals held; arms, drugs seized
Islamabad Police busted a gang of dacoits and held two members of the gang, recovering arms and drugs from their possession. Sabzi Mandi Police arrested two notorious dacoits who were involved in committing several dacoities in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and four pistols as well as 510 gram hashish were recovered from them, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Monday.
Taking strict notice of the unabated dacoities' incidents in the area, Superintendent of Police (SP) Industrial Area, Jameel Hashmi constituted a special team led by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Aashiq, which succeeded in busting the gang and arrested two dacoits Tahir Ali son of Tanveer Ali resident of Mufti Abad, District Nowshera, Zahid Ali son of Kausar Ali resident of Barma Town Islamabad. Four pistols and 510 gram hashish have been also recovered from them.
They had confessed to commit several dacoities in various areas of Islamabad including Shehzad town, Koral and also Rawalpindi. Special police teams have been constituted to arrest their other accomplices, whom to be traced soon, he added.
